Kenya Airways (KQ) #ticker:KQ customers destined for Lagos have been advised to check their flight details and status before heading to the airport following disruptions caused by a workers' strike.

The troubled airline announced Tuesday evening that it expects interference in operations due to industrial action by its Nigerian staff following disagreements over a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

The national carrier has termed stipulations made by its employees as "unsustainable financial demands".

Meanwhile, the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NAUTE) has previously cited alleged failure by Kenya Airways to implement the CBA signed two years ago.

“Guests are kindly advised to check their flight details and status before heading to the airport. Those already at the airport are advised to pay attention to the periodic boarding announcements for their flights,” said KQ in a statement.

KQ said passengers travelling from/to Lagos from 13th to 16th December 2017 wishing to cancel or postpone their travel are allowed to do so without incurring financial penalties.

“We advise our passengers to contact Kenya Airways Call Centre for rebooking,” it said while pledging to to do its best to minimise the effects of the flight disruption to its guests.
